As we have been reporting extensively Zynga has had no shortage of problems of late that have included mass walkouts of senior management, drops in their share price and announcements of staff cuts. Well finally there is some good news which could well be what Zynga and the entire gambling world has been waiting for.
As we reported Zynga announced a while ago its intentions to enter the real money gambling market. Well today the largest social gaming maker and have announced their exclusive partnership in which they will start offering real money online Poker and other Casino games in the UK market. In the first half 0f 2013 Zynga’s UK-based RMG service and will launch over 180 casino games which include poker, slots, blackjack and roulette.

Executive Vice President of Corporate and Business Development for Zynga, Barrie Cottle explained their thinking behind the new partnership,” Bringing together Zynga’s expertise in social gaming with the top international real money gaming operator is the best way to create the highest quality gaming experiences for our players in the UK. Partnering with an established leader like is a strategic and prudent way for us to enter a key RMG market while giving local players the real money games they’ve been asking us for.”

The Co CEO’s of  Norbert Teufelberger and Jim Ryan offered their thinking behind the new joint venture,” Today’s announcement is another example of our success in leveraging our assets through strategic blue-chip partners. Zynga is the world’s leader in social games with hundreds of millions of active players worldwide and a significant player base in the UK. We are delighted to have been selected as their chosen partner for this important step in their evolution, and hope to expand our relationship into other products and markets.”

In terms of the agreement Zynga games like FarmVille will be available exclusively in the form of a real money FarmVille branded slots game. Zynga’s UK customers will become part of the dotcom player pool which will give players the distinct advantage of playing on the world’s largest online poker network.As our regular readers will know we have long covered the ups and downs of Zynga.
