Pokerstars.com CEO Gabi Campos has announced that after four months at the head of PokerStars he is stepping down as of February 1.

Campos joined PokerStars after leaving his role as MD for online gaming operator 888 Holding’s Dragonfish in June 2011. He replaced father and son founders Isai and Mark Scheinberg who took the roles of CTO and Chairman respectively.

In a statement released by PokerStar.com they said,” PokerStars.com announced today that Gabi Campos has decided to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer effective February 1, 2012, to pursue other opportunities. The company thanks Gabi for his hard work and commitment and wishes him the best in all his future endeavors. A search for Gabi’s replacement is under way.”

Campos held positions at Amdocs Israel & Avaya Israel before joining 888 in 2007. He was appointed Managing Director of business-to-business Dragonfish in 2009.
