Nevada Gaming Control Board released some disappointing figures for Nevada’s largest land casinos. All in all the major casinos had a combined loss of $44 billion in 2011.

There were 256 casinos that grossed $1 million or more through gambling revenue for the fiscal year that ended in June 30th. All in all they produced $22 billion on total revenue and a net loss of $3.9 billion form 2010.

The largest casinos in 2010 showed a net loss of 43.4 billion on total revenues of $20.9 billion.

Gamblers accounted for 46% of total revenue which accounts for $10.2 billion.

Over $792 million were paid in fees and taxes which work out to 7.8% of total gambling revenue. Casinos on the Strip reported a net loss of $2.2 billion on revenues of $14.5 billion.
