David Shallow a UK based pro poker player has won the inaugural World Poker Tour Ireland main event in Dublin to claim the $289,031 main prize as well as a $25,000 seat at the WPT World Champions.

Shallow managed to overcome a field of 338 that included top international players. Shallow dominated the four day event with a combination of aggression and talent and entered the final day with 6 times the chips as his competitors.

The final Table comprised only 4 players which included Charles Chattha, Ronan Gilligan, Patrik Vestlin and Steve Watts.

Gilligan put in a good performance to come in third place while Chattha gave a good fight to the end where he earned the second place prize of $144,502.

This winning amount was the biggest in Shallow’s career. Shallow also plays under the nickname of CrabMaki and has 9 previous cash wins in his career.
