A new Chairman of The Board of Directors has been announced for the American Gaming Association’s National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG).

Alan Feldman who is a long time member and vice president of Public Affairs at MGM Resorts was appointed on Monday.
Feldman replaced Glenn Christenson who will remain on the NCRG board. Another member Mark Vander Linden of Iowa’s Office of Gambling Treatment and Prevention was also elected.

In addition to the appointment of Linden and Feldman the NCRG announced that 2012 will benefit from the largest budget ever in order to support research for “gambling disorders”. The record breaking figure is $1.5 million.

In a press release Feldman stated that he plans to,” raise awareness of problem gambling and responsible gaming through the top-notch, peer-reviewed research and public education initiatives that makes the NCRG a leading organization in this field.”
