888 Holdings Launches All American Poker Network In Joint U.S. Venture

888 Holdings PLC has further strengthened their U.S. gaming expansion plans with a joint venture with U.S. investment firm Avenue Capital. According to the agreement British based 888 has formed a company called the All American Poker Network.

With Nevada and Delaware legalizing gambling many other U.S. states are looking to position themselves as soon as gambling n the U.S. is legalized.

CEO of 888 Brian Mattingley commented on the joint venture,” Working with a substantial financial partner provides the firepower that we need to take advantage of the significant opportunities that will be provided by a regulated U.S. gaming market.”

Many believe that the Federal government will step in to legislate online gambling on a nationwide basis instead of individual states going it alone. It makes more sense for all to have conformity in an industry which could billions.

Currently the three states which have legalized online gambling are New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware. Major gaming companies are betting on online gambling becoming a reality in the near future and are looking to forge partnerships with established U.S. based companies. 888 also signed a deal with Las Vegas operator Treasure Island to launch online poker in Nevada after receiving the go ahead from Nevada’s gaming control board.
